Get to Know the Role

This role involves designing, developing, and supporting EI and MES components such as Oracle SQL Server, Linux servers, PLC adapters, Watchdog programs, and API interfaces. It includes incident handling, integration with CIM systems like FDC, Recipe Management, and OCAP, and close collaboration with global stakeholders to ensure technical consistency across factories.

Essential Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and testing new features or fixes for EI and MES components, such as Oracle SQL server, Linux server, PLC adapters, equipment Watchdog programs, and API interfaces, in collaboration with other CIM systems like Fault Detection and Classification, Recipe Management, and the Out-of-Control Action Plan (OCAP) system.
• Investigating incidents and handling requests related to Equipment Integration (EI) for the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and other associated systems.
• Working closely with stakeholders in Singapore, Japan, and other subcontractors to ensure functional alignment across factories and maintain technical consistency across systems.
• Any Ad Hoc tasks assigned by supervisor / manager.

Skills and Competencies Profile

• A degree in Manufacturing Engineering / Automation / Computer & Communications Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• A basic understanding of computer networking and connectivity.
• Preferably 1 to 2 years of experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment, preferably in fully automated fabs. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Availability for 24/7 support during system downtime or crisis scenarios to restore full functionality.
• A fundamental understanding of SECS GEM communication protocols for equipment (E5, E10, E30, E37) and PLC communication ladder logic.
• Basic programming experience in languages such as C#, VB.net, and MVC.
• Basic experience with database programming languages like Oracle SQL and MS SQL.
• Familiarity with server operating systems such as Red Hat Linux and Windows.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and propose solutions.
