About Us:
We are a respected Buddhist temple dedicated to spiritual cultivation, cultural preservation, and community service. We are seeking a committed and versatile HR & Administrative Executive to join our team. This role is essential to ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, employee support, and compliance with statutory obligations, while upholding the temple’s values and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Human Resource Management
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing, CPF submissions, and annual IR8A reporting.
- Administer employee benefits, leave, claims, and medical insurance.
- Oversee recruitment lifecycle including interviews, hiring, and preparation of employment contracts.
- Maintain accurate and confidential personnel records in compliance with the Employment Act.
- Ensure HR policies are current and compliant with Government regulations.
- Apply for work passes and manage related MOM matters.
Administrative Duties
- Act as secretary for Board and Admin Committee meetings, preparing accurate minutes in both English and Chinese.
- Organise and prepare documentation for committee meetings.
- Oversee procurement of office supplies and general administrative logistics.
- Liaise with external vendors for insurance renewals (staff, public liability, all-risk coverage).
- Governance & Compliance
- Liaise with government agencies such as CPF, IRAS, and MOM.
- Serve as Internal Auditor Representative for ISO-related matters.
- Operational & Event Support
- Support temple activities and festivals, including Chinese New Year and major ceremonial events.
- Attend to ad-hoc administrative tasks as assigned by the Management.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Human Resource Management or related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a full-spectrum HR and administrative role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with HRMS platforms (hands-on experience preferred).
- Excellent written and spoken communication in both English and Chinese (to liaise with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders).
- Able to type Chinese using Hanyu Pinyin.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work on selected weekends and Public Holidays during key temple events.
- Comfortable working in a religious (Buddhist) temple environment.
