Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Advanced Engineering Control (AEC) Manager to lead and drive the development, deployment, and optimization of advanced control systems in a high-tech manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Advanced Process Control (APC), Fault Detection and Classification (FDC), and Run-to-Run (R2R) Control, AI-Based or Algorithm-Based Equipment Tuning and will be responsible for managing a team of engineers to ensure process stability, yield improvement, and equipment performance enhancement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the AEC team in the design, implementation, and maintenance of APC, FDC, and R2R control systems across manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with process, equipment, and IT teams to integrate control solutions into production environments.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using data analytics, machine learning, and statistical process control.
- Develop and maintain control strategies to ensure process robustness and product quality.
- Oversee the development of fault detection models and classification algorithms to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
- Ensure timely deployment and tuning of R2R controllers to maintain process targets and reduce variability.
- Monitor system performance and lead troubleshooting efforts for control-related issues.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and training to team members.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in advanced control systems.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing with a focus on APC, FDC, and R2R.
- Proven leadership experience in managing engineering teams and cross-functional projects.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of control theory, signal processing, and statistical modelling.
- Experience with APC platforms (e.g., KLA, Applied Materials, or in-house systems).
- Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Python, MATLAB, or C++.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
