Production Manager - Precision Engineering

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day production operations for high-precision metal components.
• Manage, mentor, and lead a team of engineers and technicians.
• Ensure production targets are met in terms of quality, quantity, cost, and delivery timelines.
• Optimize production workflows, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency using lean manufacturing principles.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance to maintain compliance with ISO and industry-specific standards.
• Develop and implement SOPs for production processes and machine maintenance schedules.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to CNC machines, tooling, and metalworking processes.
• Work closely with design and engineering teams to support prototyping and new product introduction (NPI).
• Ensure safety regulations are strictly followed across the production floor.
• Monitor KPIs and prepare regular production reports for senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• 10 years of experience in precision metal engineering/manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• In-depth knowledge of CNC machining (3-axis, 5-axis), EDM, turning, and milling.
• Strong familiarity with materials like stainless steel, titanium, aluminum, and tool steels.
• Solid understanding of CAD/CAM software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
• Proven experience implementing lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to fluently communicate in Chinese to work with our internal/ external teams in China
