About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Sales Director to lead our commercial efforts across Singapore and Malaysia. This role is critical in shaping and executing our growth strategy in the region, managing key client relationships, expanding market share, and building a high-performing sales team. The ideal candidate is passionate about travel, results-driven, and thrives in a fast-paced, evolving industry.
Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy & Planning
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business targets
Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth
- Client & Partner Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with travel agencies, OTAs, corporate travel managers, DMCs, and tourism boards
Lead negotiations and manage high-value accounts, including contract renewals and pricing strategy
- Team Leadership
Recruit, train, and mentor a team of sales professionals across Singapore and Malaysia
Drive performance through KPIs, regular coaching, and incentive programs
- Business Development
Identify and pursue new business opportunities including cross-border collaborations, new travel verticals.
Attend and represent the company at travel fairs, networking events, and industry conferences
- Reporting & Budgeting
Provide accurate sales forecasting, pipeline management, and quarterly reporting to senior leadership
Manage and optimize sales budgets to maximize ROI
Requirements
- Minimum 5-8 years of sales experience in the travel, tourism, hospitality, or airline industries, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Strong understanding of the travel ecosystem in Singapore and Malaysia, including distribution channels and consumer behavior
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and leading successful sales teams
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable with travel within Singapore, Malaysia, and occasionally the region
