Went to Elias Mall regularly, but never had the chance to try the fried rice from King of Fried Rice.
Sometimes, it's probably best to leave things as they are and not get too close.
My first experience ordering from King of Fried Rice was quite bad. Of course, I wasn't the first customer to receive rude and impatient treatment. 😓
The staff are probably overworked, as the queue never stops, and I can imagine how hot and uncomfortable it must be to work in front of a heated wok non-stop.
The fried rice tastes good, but in terms of customer service, there is definitely room for improvement.

Visited this outlet, wanting to order food for my staff - a total of 15 packs.
I was rudely told off by the "chef" with the following comment: "Who would place an order for so many packets at one go? How am I going to manage that?!"
This is my first in-person encounter at a King of Fried Rice outlet. I have been eating and ordering online before.
Please kindly look into the staff's attitude at this outlet.

🍴 Egg Fried Rice (Pork Cutlet)
💵 $6.90
A decently priced meal for the portion size. The pork cutlet was well-marinated, and the chili was good. This particular outlet offers self-service for their chili. However, the rice didn't have much wok hei, and I would have preferred if the egg was more runny than cooked.

"I tried to redeem 4 scratch tickets for 2 sunny-side up eggs and 2 luncheon meats, but they didn't honor it. This is the second time this has happened. They might as well not offer the scratch tickets."

"Ordered two packets of egg fried rice. When I got home, my wife started eating first. She asked me if it was just her, or if the rice tasted bland. Then I opened my pack and started tasting it myself. It was totally tasteless! Conclusion: the chef forgot to add salt or seasoning. Well done, here's your one-star."

Simply good, comfort fried rice. Not the best, but it does the job. The chili enhances the flavor quite a lot, so unless you can handle spice, I wouldn’t really recommend it. I’ve been a regular for years; the chef and staff all recognize me, so I didn’t get any bad service.

"I was craving fried rice and went to Elias Mall to get some to take away and share. The fried rice was nicely done, and the rice grains didn't stick together. I like that they use short grain rice. However, the wok hei flavor wasn't very strong.
The pork chop was tender and flavorful. The pork chop had a nicely browned and attractive color. Nice taste."

I can only say it's cheap and good. I didn't expect that at this price range, I could get such delicious fried rice! I also tried their pork cutlet two weeks ago, and the pork portion was big! If you're really hungry, you should go for that!
