The online pictures for the gentleman's cut ($30) clearly state that it includes a hair wash. I took my 16-year-old son there and opted for this cut instead of the cheaper student cut ($15), hoping for a better experience. I left him and went out. When he returned, I learned that he didn't get a hair wash at all. I called the salon, feeling cheated, and they just explained that the service doesn't come with a hair wash and that the online post was old. I feel deceived, and honestly, it wasn't worth the $30 that was paid. This is quite unacceptable, and I'm never going to return again.

I was introduced to Stella and The Roots by a friend who raved about the wonderful haircuts he and his wife had been enjoying for years. Having recently had my hair cut twice by Stella, I now also find myself raving about how skilled she is at recommending and giving haircuts that suit each person's style, face shape, and personality. I have since recommended Stella to my mother (who has also visited The Roots twice since then), my relatives (who may have visited her without my knowledge), and some of my closer friends. I try not to recommend Stella to *too* many people because she is like a best-kept secret that I want to keep to myself! However, she deserves this review, so against my natural inclinations, here it goes.

"Elton, my hair stylist, was rather attentive to my requests. He patiently listened to how I style my hair daily and suggested a style that seems practical for our climate here. I've been jumping from salon to salon trying to find the best haircut, and it looks like I've found the one that suits my style. I love the experience here. I would highly recommend trying the gentleman's haircut; it's worth every dollar! I would recommend you call and make a booking, as slots are always taken up fast. I would definitely come again in the future! Super pleasant experience."

This was my first time perming my hair, and I was recommended to this salon by a friend. I definitely don't regret getting a perm! I'm very satisfied with my hair. Stella was very nice and skilled. She made sure I wasn't hungry by offering me biscuits and coffee. My permed hair is very easy to maintain, just as she told me. I highly recommend others to go! 😁
