Supporting Residents Through the 2025 Public Transport Voucher Exercise
Assistance Following Fare Adjustments
Following the scheduled implementation of a fare adjustment starting on 27 December 2025, the Government has introduced measures to help manage commuting costs for Singaporean families. As part of the 2025 Public Transport Voucher (PTV) Exercise, vouchers worth $60 each are being made available to eligible resident households to provide meaningful relief during this transition.
Eligibility Criteria and Income Limits
To ensure that support is directed toward those who need it most, the vouchers are available to resident households with a monthly household income per person of $1,800 or less. This per-capita approach allows the exercise to account for the varying sizes of households and ensures a fair distribution of resources across the community.
The Application Process
While many households will qualify for these vouchers automatically, others may need to take proactive steps to receive their support. Singaporean households that meet the income requirements but did not receive an automatic notification are encouraged to submit an application now. By making these vouchers accessible, the initiative aims to keep public transport affordable and sustainable for all residents as the new fare structure takes effect.
