There is a good variety of food stalls at this coffeeshop. Some of the popular stalls are quite good and always have queues forming. The three most popular stalls are the caifan, fishball noodles, and chicken rice. The pancake stall is also popular; it opens in the morning and closes by 2 pm. The crispy pancake is really well done – very thin and crispy. There are two other coffeeshops in Elias Mall, but this is the only one with air conditioning.

"The food there is getting increasingly expensive. The drink stall always has a long queue, which sometimes extends outside the toilets. The washing area is very close to the stall, with soap and dirty plates near the serving tables – unhygienic. The tables are often dirty and not cleaned. I only saw one person at the plate collection counter, and no one was cleaning the tables. It's pointless to renovate if we can't eat in a clean environment."

Dr. Paul Tan is, for lack of a better word, amazing. I went in with right knee pain and a clicking hip. He almost immediately recognized that it was a muscle imbalance and an unhealed old injury that caused the knee pain. After 20 minutes of acupuncture, I walked out without the tension on the right side of my hip. Later in the day, I unknowingly sprinted for the bus and realized my months-old knee pain was almost completely gone. Quite unbelievable.

"Great little traditional Chinese acupuncturist. The guy really knows his stuff; it only took him a few minutes to figure out the source of my calf pain was a trapped nerve in my ankle. He pressed the exact spot with his finger, replicating the shooting pain/spasm. 30 minutes later, and with a few needles, the pain had gone… $75 well spent."

Fractured my 4th toe in Dec 2019 (non-displaced fracture). The surrounding area was badly bruised and swollen. I sought treatment at A&E. Due to the circuit breaker, I wasn't able to go for follow-up treatment. Although my 4th toe healed, my 2nd toe was badly affected with soreness and stiffness for months. I brushed it aside as rheumatism, but it didn't go away. I finally decided to seek TCM treatment. I googled and found this TCM Clinic, which has a fairly good reputation, so I decided to pay a visit. Physician Paul Tan explained that although my fractured toe had healed, the residual blood clots resulting from the fracture lingered, causing the stiffness and soreness on my second toe. He pressed on a few meridian points on my left leg to determine how badly it was affected; most of them were extremely painful. In comparison, my right leg didn't feel any pain despite the same pressure being applied to the meridian points. Hence, he applied acupuncture for 30 minutes on those painful points. Four days of medications (small round tablets) were prescribed. My toe soreness and stiffness subsided tremendously after three days of medication. Although I still occasionally feel some discomfort when I try to bend my toe, the result is amazing. I will be going back for a second visit after my medication is finished to ensure a full recovery, considering the fact that I waited so long before seeking treatment. Experienced and skillful physician. Acupuncture was done skillfully, without much pain or discomfort. I was told that I would only feel a stinging sensation on a few sensitive meridian points. I didn't feel much pain or discomfort either when the needles were removed. Price starts from $65 onwards, depending on the treatment; the final payment varies. I visited the same day to get my headache, stiff neck, and stiff shoulders treated too. Acupuncture was applied to my neck and shoulder. I felt immediate relief. I paid $140 for both treatments, which includes acupuncture and medications for my headache and toe. I was prescribed 3.5 days of medication. Most TCMs prescribe one week of medications for $80 (including treatment and medication). For the treatment of $70, 3.5 days of medication seems too short a duration. Additional review: My toe soreness and stiffness finally healed after five subsequent visits. Although I find their fees a bit steep, at least it delivers results.

We have been seeing Dr. Tan off and on for many years. He is a skilled and ethical practitioner. If you don't need additional sessions, he will let you know. However, with TCM, it takes time, so you need to persevere if you are able to.

"I had a persistent headache, neck pain, and stiff shoulders, and I decided to give TCM a try since nothing else had worked. I had instant relief after Dr. Paul Tan pressed a few spots on my fingers and swung my arms. No more headache, no more super tight and painful neck. It was magical!"

"First time visiting, based purely on Google reviews. It was an organic visit, and I was well pleased with the services rendered. I spoke to both doctors, and was attended to by Dr. Paul. I have a pinched nerve issue in my right arm, with numbness and tingling sensations ranging to unbearable aching. Dr. Paul pressed slightly on my shoulder, which was very painful. During acupuncture, after a needle or two, he checked the same spot he had pressed, and there was no more pain. He explained that the treatment needs follow-up and that there may be healing crises, like increased pain, etc., along with the herbal medicine. The next day, my arm was much better, so I will return for follow-up to unknot all the circulation for a rejuvenated arm. It's a new premises, clean and spacious. There was no waiting line when I visited around 10 am on Monday. During treatment, other patients arrived and were all greeted by the friendly doctors, so there were no nasty or rude clinic assistants! Lol!"

My husband complained of constant headaches, and my Malay aunt recommended this clinic. I took him to see Dr. Paul, who examined him, lifted his arms, and pressed some points. He said there was some blockage somewhere. He did acupuncture on my husband and gave him some herbal medicine, and my husband got better. Thank you, Dr. Paul!
