Dr. Chuah Chin Khang was very kind and clearly explained my lipoma issue. He assured me that it wasn't a serious problem and suggested I could have a simple surgery done back in India, where the cost would be lower than in Singapore. I really appreciate his honest advice and the way he made me feel at ease. Thank you, Doctor!
AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Terrible service and a long waiting time. You might as well go to the polyclinic for cheaper and better service and treatment. They often have medication out of stock. In one word, my experience at this clinic can be summed up as: WAIT.
Went to Elias Mall regularly, but never had the chance to try the fried rice from King of Fried Rice.
Sometimes, it's probably best to leave things as they are and not get too close.
My first experience ordering from King of Fried Rice was quite bad. Of course, I wasn't the first customer to receive rude and impatient treatment. 😓
The staff are probably overworked, as the queue never stops, and I can imagine how hot and uncomfortable it must be to work in front of a heated wok non-stop.
The fried rice tastes good, but in terms of customer service, there is definitely room for improvement.
Simply good, comfort fried rice. Not the best, but it does the job. The chili enhances the flavor quite a lot, so unless you can handle spice, I wouldn’t really recommend it. I’ve been a regular for years; the chef and staff all recognize me, so I didn’t get any bad service.
Visited this outlet, wanting to order food for my staff - a total of 15 packs.
I was rudely told off by the "chef" with the following comment: "Who would place an order for so many packets at one go? How am I going to manage that?!"
This is my first in-person encounter at a King of Fried Rice outlet. I have been eating and ordering online before.
Please kindly look into the staff's attitude at this outlet.
"I was craving fried rice and went to Elias Mall to get some to take away and share. The fried rice was nicely done, and the rice grains didn't stick together. I like that they use short grain rice. However, the wok hei flavor wasn't very strong.
The pork chop was tender and flavorful. The pork chop had a nicely browned and attractive color. Nice taste."
🍴 Egg Fried Rice (Pork Cutlet)
💵 $6.90
A decently priced meal for the portion size. The pork cutlet was well-marinated, and the chili was good. This particular outlet offers self-service for their chili. However, the rice didn't have much wok hei, and I would have preferred if the egg was more runny than cooked.
"I tried to redeem 4 scratch tickets for 2 sunny-side up eggs and 2 luncheon meats, but they didn't honor it. This is the second time this has happened. They might as well not offer the scratch tickets."
I don't usually care to write reviews as I feel it's unnecessary and a complete waste of time, but this store really warrants it.
I have ordered from this store time and time again, hoping to overlook their poor, unsatisfactory, and most notably rude customer service. But every single time I have had bad experiences with the way the cook and uncle treated me. Today was really the last straw.
Today I told the uncle my takeaway order. The uncle keyed it into the system and just left to do other things. I waited for him to get back to me as he didn't ask me for payment or anything. When he got back to me, he asked me what I wanted again, so I told him I wanted the same thing. Then he started scolding me, *kpkb*-ing me for not paying when he left instantly. Huh??? You didn't even tell me to pay and left instantly. If I paid first and you didn't see my payment, how are you going to verify I paid? And also, what if I wanted to pay by cash? How are you going to accept the cash while not being there? 😂😂😂
I waited 15-20 minutes when it wasn't even peak period (8 PM), there were almost no customers, and upon serving my order, lo and behold, the uncle presented me with the food on a plate and not in a takeaway container.
Huh? Please, you *kp* me saying I never paid, then got my order wrong. I told you twice that it was takeaway while you blamed me for not paying on my own. I thought to myself, it's fine, I'm just going to ignore it again.
Then the uncle scolds me for not paying the takeaway fee ($0.30). Dude, if there's a takeaway fee, why didn't you key it into the system earlier? There is no way he misheard me about wanting takeaway as I emphasized it twice. PS, I have never ordered takeaway before, therefore the fee was unbeknownst to me. How is it my fault you did not key in the total amount with the takeaway fee earlier?
And this is not the only bad experience.
Previous times, the cook has shouted at me and *kp*-ed me for asking me to hurry with my order when I just arrived. AND THERE WAS NO CUSTOMER BEHIND ME, HUH?? I thought it was just a bad mood, but realized the store wanted to close early for the day. Fine.
I have also had other separate encounters with the cook being in a bad mood when asked about wait times after waiting > 30 mins.
Clearly your cooks and workers have no regard for customers.
@KingofFriedRice
How much are you guys paying your staff? Are they severely shortchanged/underpaid that they hate the job so badly?
I understand the struggles and hardships F&B workers have to put up with daily when dealing with customers; I myself was an F&B worker. But this is not it, man. You don't randomly vent your anger, stress, or frustration on customers, no matter how bad it gets, especially when they did nothing wrong (unless they are being looked down upon/bullied).
As a business owner, I hope you reconsider the customer service aspect of your store at Elias Mall. It takes two hands to clap. You can't expect customers to patronize your store even if your food is good, when your customer service is down the drain.
And since inception, the quality of your fried rice and cutlet has only been getting worse. The fried rice is tasteless, the cutlet also tasteless.
It is very evident from other reviews that I'm not the only one experiencing poor customer service while receiving equally poor quality food.
With all that said, I strongly recommend others try @Flying Dragon Noodles at Pasir Ris Recreational Hawker. Their Pork Cutlet Rice is way cheaper ($6.50), the portion is bigger, the fried rice is tastier, and the pork cutlet is juicier.
